What's new in this Devlog?

My main take is that I have been continuing my progress with the player controls, smoothing them out and making them feel just right. I have also introduced the ability to swing a melee weapon whilst walking, so that's nice and looks good too!

I would like to get a bit more of the other programming work done, but with being so absorbed by this task I haven't has as much time as I would like to spend on them.

Our Game Designer has been lending a hand with the programming side of things and has created a prototype cannon for the ships combat. This allows the cannons to be rotated and fired (most importantly).

He has also introduced a prototype bar that the player will visit at the end of a level/wave in which the player can have a chat with the bartender Dionysus, catch up on the latest gossip (you might hear something useful) and upgrade your ship.

Other deadlines are starting to approach and I hope that the group can keep focused and not be too distracted.
