What's been happening in this Devlog?

Merry Christmas everyone are here's to a great New Year!

Here's a list of bits and pieces that myself and our Game Designer have been working on/programming;

  • Added functional enemy AI that chases and hits the player with a melee attack
  • Added melee attack for the player
  • Added an adjustable knockback system for the players melee attacks
  • Added adjustable HP values to the player and enemies
  • Added mechanic where the players weapon will point to the players cursor
  • Added a knockback upgrade button to Dionysus' upgrade menu
  • Added a damage upgrade button to Dionysus' upgrade menu

It is a huge relief to be able to get the melee combat working as well as other crucial tasks that we have set up on our Trello board. It is immensely satisfying to see tasks getting ticked off and added in the green instead of red!

Going forwards I would like to work on ranged combat systems such as the rotating cannon, adorably named The Good Ol' Gun, which will have a tracking system on it that allows it to fire at the closest enemy
