What's been happening in this Devlog?

Deadline day is here...

... and we are all feeling good!

Here's a list of all the latest updates/progress that's been going on recently;

  • Added a level screen with 2 selectable levels
  • Merged all scenes without any bugs! (Phew!)
  • Player upgrades and unlocks actually stay between sessions
  • 'Big Cannonballs' added as an upgrade to the cannon
  • Health bar that changed colour when damaged
  • Health and Speed upgrades added
  • Final assets for 'the Grapevine' added
  • Game Designer designed two completable levels and that general layout of the ship

As a team I think that we have worked together beautifully. Our Game Designer has been an absolute rock throughout this whole project and deserves massive credit for the sheer amount of work that he has done as well as being a steady hand on this ships rudder (oh dear) and steering (please stop) the whole group in the right direction with his leadership and planning!

Our artists continue to be outstanding and are only ever improving and I am jealous of their creative flair as my brain does not operate that way!

This is the end of the Pre-Production module and it has been a blast! We still have a lot to do for the remainder of the project but we are all looking forward to the challenge!

Going forwards I would like to test my coding skills more as well as contributing more to the group.
