STYX Devlog 9
Hello again, long time no see!
What's been happening in this Devlog?
This Devlog will be a focus and review of our Trello boards Sprint Retrospective 5, so I will be going over some of the aspects that we have been working on since the last Devlog (apologies for the delay).
I feel like there was a good effort made on the programming front, especially with the swivel gun. The swivel gun has proven to be quite challenging and has required constant work doing on it since its inception. I think that whilst this has been a challenging bit of coding, ultimately it has been very satisfying seeing its development from the prototype, into the slick gun it is becoming!
As ever, our artists have been doing a fantastic job, namely with putting together some visuals for the menu's, but they are also creating some assets for the game that we can continually improve upon.
On the horizon next is the crossbow development. We have made a decent start on this and I do think that it ill look excellent once it is fully complete, however, like the swivel gun it is proving tricky in certain aspects, namely if we want to add different ammunition types to it and in turn add the crossbow to a weapon wheel... a total other ball game!
As ever, it's exciting to see how far we are progressing as a team, hopefully we can start to get more assets and colours into STYX to make it look and feel as exciting as the mechanics!
